Mass tourism – having thousands, even millions of visitors per year – is destroying the things we love most about certain destinations. This is a video about some of those destinations, and how they’re trying to adapt to these changes.
If you’re planning on climbing Mont Blanc, it’s best to make a reservation.
Mass tourism is destroying famous destinations. As we all know, mass tourism is the fastest-growing source of income in the world. But this has a negative impact on the environment and culture of our cities as well.
For example, when you visit any famous destination like Venice, Rome, etc., you will find that there are many hotels located around the city and these hotels are always full because of the tourists who come from all over the world. This has caused the loss of many original buildings which were built by famous architects of their times.
Another example is Hong Kong where there are many hotels located nearby but these hotels have become too expensive for locals who want to stay in peaceful surroundings away from noisy streets and crowded places.
The problem with mass tourism is that it destroys all beauty and uniqueness of a place due to the huge number of visitors who go there every day.
